Weeks Offered
Build a real video game from the ground up with art, code, and everything in between.
Campers jump into the Godot engine – the same tool used by indie game studios – and turn their craziest concepts into real, playable worlds. They sketch out custom characters, map levels, and code movement, physics, interactions, and all the little details that make games addictive. By Friday, their idea isn’t just an idea anymore – it’s a game you can actually play.
What Campers Will Do
Design characters, worlds, and game art in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, then import it into Godot
Build levels in Godot using scenes, nodes, tiles, sprites, and animation tools
Code player movement, physics, collisions, and interactions using GDScript
Playtest, debug, and iterate on their game until it feels fun and polished
They’ll Leave With
A playable 2D game they designed, coded, and built themselves
Original game art created in Sketchbook Pro
The skills (and excitement!) to keep developing games at home
Repeat-friendly: Each week is a new game. Returning campers can try different genres, bigger scopes, or more advanced systems in Godot.
