RC Racer Lab

RC Racer Lab is a three-term journey from blank slate to track beast.

  • Term 1 – Concept to Chassis: Design, 3-D-print, and assemble a race-ready frame while mastering real motorsport geometry.

  • Term 2 – Power Up: Drop in electronics, flash custom C++ firmware, and tune handling until every drift obeys your thumbs.

  • Term 3 – Customize & Create: Add lights, sound, killer paint, and student-designed track mods, then unleash it all in a full-throttle showcase.

By the finish line, you’ll own a one-of-a-kind RC car—and the engineering swagger to say, “I built and tuned this from scratch.”

Innovators Pathway

STEAM Explorers

STEAM Explorers turns wide-eyed curiosity into hands-on wonder. Every month pivots to a brand-new adventure—one week you’re wiring LED torches like Minecraft redstone, the next you’re spinning cardboard wind turbines or 3-D-printing a prototype straight from your sketchbook.

This fall, September lights the room with buzzers, circuits, and glowing art, October chases energy in all its forms with solar racers and DIY power grids, and November dives into design thinking from rough sketch to printed part, ending with a hilariously “bad” product that proves why good design matters.

Each class is a self-contained project, so newcomers can drop in anytime without missing a beat, while month-to-month billing keeps families flexible and commitment-free.

Grades K-2

Foundations

Foundational Innovators is where grades 3–5 turn curiosity into real-world skills—coding Scratch games that actually play, wiring circuits that light and buzz, drafting their first CAD models, and building robots that do more than just sit pretty.

This fall the spotlight changes every month. September crackles with electricity as campers wire buzzers, glowing LED art, and Minecraft-style torches while chasing electrons around the loop. October is a hunt for energy in motion: cardboard turbines catch the breeze, solar racers zip down the track, and a tabletop power grid proves renewable tech isn’t just for grown-ups. November flips on the designer brain, taking ideas from sketch to 3-D print in four rapid sprints—then closing with a hilariously “bad” product that shows why good design really matters.

Each session stands on its own, so kids can dive in any week without missing a beat, and month-to-month billing keeps families flexible and commitment-free.

Grades 3-5

Coding

scratch.png

Scratch Block Coding

Intro to Scratch Coding turns bright drag-and-drop blocks into dancing cats, blasting rockets, and on-screen stories that shout, “I made this!” Young makers learn loops, variables, and conditionals without the headache—snapping code together like digital LEGO, spotting bugs, and fixing them on the fly. Each class delivers a brand-new mini-game or animated tale, followed by show-and-tell remix sessions that prove coding is even cooler together. No experience? No worries. Bring imagination; we supply the blocks, guidance, and non-stop “aha!” moments that build real problem-solving muscle and big-time confidence.

Grades 1-3

python.png

Foundations of Python

Intro to Python launches coders ages 12 and up into one of the world’s most powerful languages—no prior experience required. Over ten lively sessions, students crack the basics of syntax, variables, and data types, then flex those new muscles on loops, functions, and starter data structures. Each class mixes quick-fire problem-solving drills with hands-on projects, so concepts stick the moment they’re learned. Questions and collaboration are baked into every step, turning “I think I get it” into “Watch what I just built.” By the final session, students hold a rock-solid Python foundation and the confidence to take on bigger, bolder coding challenges.

Grades 4 and up

python2.png

Python 2

Python 2: Intermediate Programming & Real-World Apps catapults coders (ages 12+) beyond the basics and into the good stuff—file handling, error catching, modules, APIs, and the magic of object-oriented design. Across ten fast-moving sessions you’ll fetch live data, architect your own classes, and spin up projects like weather dashboards, quiz apps, or mini-games that actually work outside the classroom. Each challenge sharpens debugging instincts and creative problem-solving, so by the final demo you’re writing structured, professional-looking code and itching to tackle the next big idea. Ready to level up from “print(‘Hello’)” to real-world Python power? Jump in and start building.

Grades 4 and up

AI Playground -Applied Python Adventures in Artificial Intelligence

AI Playground catapults Python-savvy students in grades 5-8 from “print(‘hello’)” to code that actually thinks. Across ten adrenaline-filled weeks they race through mini quests—training a digit-recognizer, slapping live face filters on classmates, building chatbots, even coaxing AI to paint music—then pause in week 7 to pitch a dream project, scope it, and spin up a repo like real engineers. The last three weeks are pure maker mayhem: build, break, iterate, polish, demo. Parents roll in on week 10 to watch projects that see, chat, recommend, and create, while students soak up the applause and walk out with GitHub-ready code, résumé-ready bragging rights, and a mindset that treats every bug as just another puzzle begging to be solved.
