Service Description

Dec 5th - May 21 (winter break Dec 22 - Jan 1) 24 class sessions | $30 a class billed monthly @$120 for 6 months. s LEGO Robotics Course at The Future Innovators Academy Course Overview: 1. Critical Thinking and Design: This course is tailored to hone critical thinking, coding, and design skills. Through practical sessions, students tackle real-world challenges, allowing them to translate theoretical knowledge into tangible solutions. 2. Collaborative Learning: Working in compact teams of up to two, students leverage the power of collaboration. Together, they brainstorm, design, and code robotic solutions using state-of-the-art LEGO robotics kits, later iterating on their designs for optimization. 3. Progressive Curriculum: Our sessions are sequenced to ensure consistent growth. Starting with foundational concepts, the challenges and projects gradually become complex, ensuring students remain engaged and continually expand their skill set. 4. Hands-on Experience: Every student is pivotal to the design and execution process. We maintain small teams to ensure that each learner benefits from direct hands-on experience, steering clear of the pitfalls of large-group dynamics. 5. Tailored Tools for Varied Ages: Catering to diverse age groups, we utilize: -Grades 3-5: LEGO Education SPIKE Essential. -Grades 6-8: LEGO Education SPIKE Prime. Key Takeaways: By course completion, students will be adept at building, coding, and innovating with their robots. Beyond technical proficiency, they'll emerge with sharpened problem-solving skills—tools they can apply beyond the classroom. First Lego League (FLL) Readiness: Our curriculum's unique feature is its alignment with First Lego League benchmarks. By integrating past FLL challenges, we offer students a preview and hands-on experience of FLL dynamics. This positions them advantageously should they aspire to join FLL teams. Recurring Payments – billed monthly. While most students continue through the whole course, we understand conflicts arise. Upcoming payments can be canceled before the 25th of each month by contacting us via email or phone (207) 671-6284. Seats will be released to students on our waitlist once a class is canceled. We also offer the option to pay the full course amount upfront with a discount!
