3D Model & Print Club

Design it, customize it, print it! 3D Modeling & Print Club is a creative drop-in club where young makers learn the basics of 3D design and explore how digital ideas become real objects.

Students will use beginner-friendly 3D modeling tools to create simple designs, customize project prompts, and bring their ideas to life. Each session includes guided support, creative exploration, and plenty of room for students to add their own style.

Students may work on suggested projects or tackle their own ideas with help from an FIA staff mentor. Projects might include keychains, mini figures, name tags, small toys, simple inventions, or decorative designs.

Recommended Grades: Grades 1–3

Club Format: Fridays from 5:30–7:30 PM

This is a flexible drop-in club, so students can join for individual sessions that fit your family’s schedule.

What students will explore:

  • Beginner 3D modeling – Learn how to use simple digital design tools to create 3D objects.

  • Creative project prompts – Choose from suggested projects or bring your own idea to work on.

  • Design thinking – Plan, build, adjust, and improve digital creations.

  • From screen to real life – Learn how 3D printers turn digital models into physical objects.

  • Confidence through making – Students practice creativity, patience, problem-solving, and pride in their finished designs.

Print Pickup Note

Because 3D prints take time, students may not always take their finished print home the same day. Depending on the size, complexity, and print queue, completed projects may need to be picked up later or at the student’s next club meeting.

Space is limited—reserve your spot and get ready to design, create, and print!
